Perfect 2-Day Ayodhya Itinerary

A balanced two-day plan covering Ram Mandir, Hanuman Garhi, ghats, museums, and local food — without marathon rushing.

Day 1 — Arrival & Hanuman Garhi

  • Morning: Arrive Ayodhya Dham station or airport → check in near Ram Path → light breakfast (kachori-jalebi lane).
  • 10:00 AM: Hanuman Garhi — climb 76 steps, darshan, sindoor offering (~1 hr).
  • 12:00 PM: Lunch — sattvic thali near Ram Path; rest during midday heat.
  • 2:30 PM: Kanak Bhawan — Ram-Sita darshan, relatively shorter queues.
  • 4:00 PM: Stroll Ram Path bazaar — prasad, rudraksha, souvenirs.
  • 6:30 PM: Saryu aarti at Ram Ki Paidi — arrive 30 min early for ghat seating.
  • 8:00 PM: Dinner and early night (Day 2 starts early).

Day 2 — Ram Mandir & heritage

  • 5:30 AM: Wake for Mangala/Shringar period queues (or your Sugam slot time).
  • 6:30 AM: Ram Mandir darshan — allow 2–4 hrs depending on crowd.
  • 10:30 AM: Dashrath Mahal & Sita Ki Rasoi — short heritage stops nearby.
  • 12:00 PM: Bhog aarti period / lunch break.
  • 2:00 PM: Ram Katha Museum or Tulsi Smarak Bhawan.
  • 4:00 PM: Optional Guptar Ghat or Bharat Kund (Nandigram) if you have transport.
  • 7:00 PM: Sandhya aarti at Ram Mandir OR second Saryu aarti — choose one as your closing ritual.
Tip: If you only have one day, prioritise: Hanuman Garhi → Ram Mandir → Ram Ki Paidi evening aarti.

Half-day add-ons (if staying longer)

  • Mani Parvat & Sugriv Parvat — sunrise views and Buddhist stupa remains.
  • Nageshwarnath Temple — ancient Shiva shrine linked to Kush, son of Rama.
  • Chaurasi Kosi parikrama — only if you are fit and have a full extra day.

Pacing tips

  • Keep Day 1 lighter — travel fatigue plus hill climb at Hanuman Garhi adds up.
  • Book Sugam slot for Day 2 morning so you are not guessing queue length.
  • Wear the same comfortable shoes both days; carry socks for temple floors.
  • Schedule museum visits in the hot afternoon slot when temple queues peak.
