Sugam Darshan (free slot booking)

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust offers free Sugam Darshan passes with 2-hour entry windows — this is the official way to avoid the longest general queues. Book only on the official portal; third-party sites selling "VIP fast track" passes are fraudulent.

  • Official site: online.srjbtkshetra.org (also srjbtkshetra.org)
  • Carry government photo ID matching your booking.
  • Multiple slots daily (roughly 7 AM – 9 PM window, with midday break).
  • Book 45+ days ahead for Ram Navami, Deepotsav, and weekends.

What you can carry

  • Allowed: wallet, photo ID, spectacles, small prasad after exit, water at designated counters.
  • Not allowed: mobile phones, cameras, bags, backpacks, pens, lighters, outside food.
  • Free locker facilities near the temple entrance — deposit phones and bags before security.

Dress code & conduct

  • Modest attire — shoulders and knees covered; traditional Indian dress is welcome.
  • Remove shoes before entering sanctum areas; socks are usually fine in outer corridors.
  • No photography inside the inner sanctum — strictly enforced.
  • Maintain silence in queue lines; follow volunteer and security instructions.

Typical visit flow

  • 1. Deposit bags/phones at lockers near Ram Path entrance.
  • 2. Security screening (metal detectors, separate lines for families and seniors).
  • 3. Queue or Sugam gate entry → darshan of Ram Lalla in the main sanctum.
  • 4. Circumambulate the mandir pradakshina path if open.
  • 5. Collect prasad and exit; retrieve belongings from lockers.
Tip: Visit Hanuman Garhi before Ram Mandir — it is a long-standing local tradition and Hanuman Garhi opens from 5 AM.
