Ayodhya's signature festival on the eve of Diwali with 25+ lakh diyas along the Saryu.
Deepotsav is held on Chhoti Diwali (Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi), one day before Diwali. Ayodhya lights more than 25 lakh earthen lamps along Ram Ki Paidi, Naya Ghat and the Saryu riverfront - a Guinness World Record event.
The evening includes tableaux, laser shows, and special aarti. The entire city is illuminated; accommodation and transport must be booked well in advance.
Pilgrim tips
Reach Naya Ghat / Ram Ki Paidi by 4 PM. Wear comfortable footwear; ghats get crowded.
