Sita Ki Rasoi marks the tradition that Sita cooked here for her family for the first time after her marriage - the moment the divine consort became the household's nourisher. A Devi Annapurna idol and preserved symbolic kitchen utensils sit at the centre of the shrine.
It is one of the few Ayodhya temples where all four sons of Dashrath are venerated together with their wives, giving the sanctum a completeness most other shrines don't have.
Pilgrim tips
- Walk here straight from Kanak Bhawan - it's just 3 minutes south, effectively next door.
- Early morning (8-10 AM) is quieter, before the Kanak Bhawan crowds arrive.
- A meaningful stop for newly married couples and anyone seeking blessings for the household.
