Sacred hermitage where Lord Rama's brother Bharat placed the divine wooden sandals (Charan Paduka) and ruled as an ascetic for 14 years.

Located at Nandigram (~15 km from Ayodhya), Bharat Kund is where Lord Rama's devoted brother Bharat resided for 14 years during Rama's exile. Refusing to occupy the throne, Bharat placed Lord Rama's holy wooden sandals (*Charan Paduka*) on the throne and governed the kingdom as an ascetic renunciate.

The site features the Bharat Gufa (underground cave of meditation), ancient Ram-Bharat Milap temple, and a serene kund where thousands of pilgrims perform holy snan and Pitru Shraddha rites.
